What are your bakeries’ operating hours?
We’re excited that you’re in the mood for Candyapple Cakes! Since operating hours vary by day,  please check the hours of operation. 

How much notice do you need?

For cupcakes with no customized decorations we need at least 2 – 5 working days notice and for custom cupcake orders at least a week’s notice (depending on the complexity of the designs required) but we can get booked up further in advance so it is always best to give as much notice as possible. For custom celebration cakes we need at least 2 weeks notice but some dates get booked up quickly, particularly during wedding season so the more notice you can give, the better (during the Summer months we would suggest contacting us at least one month before the cake is needed, especially for complex designs.) We know sometimes there are last minute requirements so if you do need cupcakes or a birthday cake within less time then please do contact us and we will do our very best to accommodate you. If we can help, we will! Please note order is not confirmed until we have received a deposit. 

Do you have a minimum order?

Our minimum order for cupcakes, cake pops, cakesicles, candy apples is 1 dozen. Cupcakes, cake pops, cakesicles, candy apples - 1 flavor per dozen.  Minimum order for chocolate covered treats is 2 dozen 

What health and safety procedures are being followed in the bakery?
Our bakeries frequently clean and sanitize high-contact areas, perform frequent handwashing, instruct any team member who is feeling sick to stay home and have temporarily paused cake sampling. Additionally, some bakeries may encourage social distancing and have an in-bakery guest capacity in place. Check your local bakery for delivery and curbside pickup options for added comfort.

Placing an order

Do I have to pre-order my cake or do you take walk-in orders?

We are an online bakery and our cakes are baked fresh never frozen per pre-order.

How do I pre-order my cake? Is payment required upfront or at the time of pickup?
Pre-orders are accepted online and over the phone and may require payment upon ordering. Find your local bakery to get your order started!

How do I get my cake?
In order to provide the best experience for you, we offer  pickup, delivery, or no-contact delivery. Please let us know your preference when you place your order. If picking up your cake please be sure to arrive at your agreed upon pick up time. Understand our time is valuable and so is that of other customers so be courteous and on time!

Can I change my pickup or delivery time?
To coordinate a new pickup or delivery time, please reach out to the bakery where your order was placed.

I forgot to pick up my cake order yesterday! Can I still pick it up today?
We get it, things happen but please be mindful of our time and that of other customers. Please reach out to us asap to discuss your options.

Do you offer shipping?
Not at this time.

Can I change or cancel my order after it has been placed?
We understand things happen! In the event you need to change or cancel an order, please contact us to discuss your options as outlined on your signed contract.

I am having trouble placing an order online. What do I do?
Please contact us 240-460-1444 to place your order.

What are the prices of your cakes?
Money can’t buy you love, but it can buy you a Candyapple Cake! Since our prices vary by type of cake order and complexity of design the final price will be quoted before placing your order.

Are your bakeries nut-free facilities?

We do not bake in an allergen-free environment. While we do have select products that do not contain wheat or nuts, all of our products are baked in an environment where wheat, milk, peanuts, tree nuts, eggs and soy may be present in high volumes. Due to the presence of these allergens, we do not recommend consuming any of our desserts if you are allergic to wheat, nuts, dairy or eggs. Candyapple Cakes accepts no liability for customers suffering allergic reactions from eating our cakes.

It is the customer’s responsibility to make Candyapple Cakes aware of any special dietary requirements that need to be accommodated in the making of their cake.

Do you have a gluten-free cake?

Unfortunately, we do not bake gluten-free cakes.

Do you have a dairy-free cake?
Unfortunately, we do not bake dairy-free cakes.

Do you have any egg-free cakes?
Unfortunately, we do not bake any egg-free cakes.

Do you have any sugar-free cakes?
Unfortunately, we do not bake any sugar-free cakes.

Do you have any vegan cakes?
Unfortunately, we do not bake any vegan cakes.

Do you have any keto cakes?
